Eligibility Requirements
If you:
Are a resident of Kawartha Lakes
Are graduating from Fenelon Falls Secondary School
Have a minimum 70% academic average
Demonstrate financial need
Plan to attend a recognized post-secondary program
Plan on studying at a Professional Program (including but not limited to Nursing, Architecture, Medical Imaging, Fine Art Design, Engineering, Accounting, or Business), Skilled Trades, or other STEM fields).

Applications are reviewed and chosen candidates are invited to interview.
STEP 3: SELECTION & AWARD
The recipient is selected and funds are released.

About the Tan Scholarship
In honour of Mai and Chuong Tan, this scholarship is awarded to one graduating student who has demonstrated resilience, academic effort, and a strong commitment to both their studies and their community. It is intended to support a student who shows great potential and would benefit from financial assistance in order to pursue post-secondary education. As hardworking Canadians, Mai and Chuong Tan exemplify the values of perseverance, family,
and community service. Throughout their lives, they encouraged the pursuit of excellence. Through quiet strength and unwavering support, they showed that the greatest measure of success is found in how we help others grow stronger. This award honours their sacrifices, celebrates their values, and extends a lasting legacy.
